What a week was had!
On Friday Free Space Gallery hosted the first of a two part workshop series Creative Arts Well-Being Workshop. There are still places available for the second workshop on Friday 25th September 10am – 3pm so please do get in touch if you would like to come along.
Artist Barbara Dean who was leading the workshop began with book binding, a mediative walk in silence and then an afternoon of painting exercises exploring decision making and risk. If you would like to find out more or come along please do get in touch.
As if this was not enough on Saturday a group of 170 people associated with our programmes – art therapy, drawing for people with aphasia, artists in residence, dance for parkinson’s and patients of the James Wigg Practice – all trouped down to the Royal Opera House in Covent Garden for a performance of Romeo & Juliet. It was wonderful to see so many of the groups together and this is something we hope to be able to do again.
