Gin, apples, chicken & paint – a winning combination

Another busy week comes and goes at Free Space Gallery with Creative Arts Well-being Workshop on Friday followed by our Urban Harvest Festival on Saturday. We pressed apples, petted hens, learnt about distilling gin and tried our hand at making planters from old pallets. Quite a weekend.

Creative Arts Well-being Workshop, facilitated by artist Barbara Dean, was a day of discussions about creativity and well-being followed by some action painting in the local park. We caused quite a stir marching down the high street carrying a 10 meter long sheet of paper. The sun shone for us all afternoon allowing us to roll up trouser legs and really indulge in playing with the paint.

If you are interested in other such workshops that we host please do get in touch

It was wonderful to welcome the local community to our Urban Harvest Festival created in collaboration with Transition Kentish Town and Of Butterflies and Bees. The Well-Beeing Garden was full of activity as was our car park, transformed into a celebration of local growing and sustainable living. It was wonderful to hear all about Gin its history and its present with local Gin makers Ladies and Gentlemen.

Keep your eyes peeled for future collaborations, workshops and events
