Last night saw the opening of Shared Insite a show of recently completed work by Harrison Moore and Terence Wilde. Harrison and Terence have been artists in residence with us since January and have been based with us in Kentish Town Health Centre being inspired by the unique rhythm that being based in a health environment brings.
The work that they have produced is personal, touching and funny all rolled in to one. Their long and in-depth conversations across the course of their residency in which they considered their fears and hopes and how they felt about identifying as an artist, were all recorded. They then chose to transcribe them and have them read by actors. Imagine hearing your words spoken back to you, words you had said without conceit or knowledge they would ever be used in such a way.
The exhibition is open Mon – Fri 9am – 6.30pm until 27th May.
In addition we have our exciting Six Sense Garden project coming up! As from 3rd June – 22nd July our Friday afternoons, 2 – 5pm will be spent with Bess Frimodig. We are happy to be collaborating with Bess to create a beautiful, stimulating, inspiring and edible garden on site at Kentish Town Health Centre. Working with recycled materials we will be creating a garden, hearing experienced speakers each week and doing a creative activity based on the garden. Oh and eating it all at the end of the project! So if you would like to learn something new, find a way of finding peace in nature do get in touch and book your free place!
