Polaroid lift & unseen energies

This week marks the end of Shared Insite an exhibition of work resulting from the residency of Terence Wilde and Harrison Moore. It has been wonderful to hear the reactions to the work which is personal and revealing and we are already looking forward to seeing it in its next incarnation when displayed at Central St Martins later this year.

Up next in our exhibition space is Down to Earth an exhibition of site specific work by Sally Buchanan. Sally has been in residence with us from February and has been working on creating textile and mixed media pieces throughout the building, tracing energies flowing throughout the space. Sally will be on hand to answer any questions you may have about her work at her open evening on 9th June 6.30 – 9pm.

We also have a series of new workshops to announce with Alternative Photography Tasters on 1st June and 8th June 2 – 5pm as well as Six Sense Garden on Fridays 2 – 5pm from June 3rd – July 22nd.

Alternative Photography Tasters are run by Catriona Grey who has a great deal of experience in experimental photography utilising a wide range of analogue techniques. In these workshops Catriona will be showing us how to achieve Polaroid lift as well as how to develop photographic images using the sun.

Also in June we have two day workshops with Barbara Dean who will be instructing in her Paint Action Method which involves painting and performative elements.
